Funeral services for Rose Emma Mays Andrews, 80, of Washington were held Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Mark’s Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. George Booker officiating. The interment was in City West Cemetery, Washington. She died Wednesday, March 10, at her residence.

Mrs. Andrews was a native of Philadelphia, Penn., and the daughter of the late Bennie and Jenny Willis Mays. She was a member of Mark’s Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served on the Mother Board. She was employed for many years by Dr. Gene Pollock and Dr. Ed Pollock.

Survivors include three daughters, Rosa L. Dooley, Atlanta, Glenda E. Lewis, Washington, and Ann D. Cooper, Boulder, Col.; a brother, James Mays of Stone Mountain; two sisters, Fannie Booker, Atlanta, and Ruby Mays, Pontiac, Mich.; five grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild.

Davenport-McLendon Mortuary Inc., Washington, was in charge of arrangements.
