Michelle Lynn Allen and Brian Shane Bailey of Rayle were united in marriage in a lovely double-ring ceremony on Sunday, February 14, at two o’clock in the afternoon at County Line Baptist Church in Rayle. Tobin Burnett of Augusta officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Telesa Allen of Tignall and Tammy Allen and Greg Houp of Gainesville.
The bridegroom is the son of Melvin and Jane Bailey of Watkinsville and Jack and Wanda Kirk of Rayle.
Mike Fortson of Washington provided music for the ceremony.
Toby Burnett of Augusta served as best man. Usher-groomsmen were Russ Johnson of Tyrone and Aaron Shunk of Rayle, son of the bride.
The bride’s mother, Tammy Allen, attended her daughter as matron of honor. She wore a cream white dress and matching jacket and carried a bouquet of pink and white roses and a pink sunflower.
Bridesmaids were Bethany Allen, sister-in-law of the bride, and Molly Allen, sister of the bride, both of Cumming. They were attired in knee-length off-the-shoulder dresses in three shades of pink. Each carried a bouquet of one rose, one sunflower and gypsophila.
Alayna Bailey of Evans, niece of the bridegroom, served the flower girl. Her white dress was accented with a pink ribbon sash and she carried a pink basket of pink petals.
The ring bearer was Benjamen Price of Rayle, nephew of the bride.
Given in marriage by her father, Mike Allen, the bride was radiant in her strapless gown fashioned with a beaded and sequined bodice and full layered skirt also accented with sequins and beading.
Her rolled-hem veil fell from a tiara headpiece.
She carried a bouquet of pink sunflowers, two pink roses and a single white rose tied with pink ribbon.
Reception
Following the ceremony the couple was entertained in the reception hall of County Line Baptist Church.
Hostesses were Laura Shedd and Dee Arnold, both of Rayle.
Blossom and Reyna Gayton of Tignall tended the guest register.
The bride’s table was overlaid in white and held a three-tiered floating heart-shaped cake decorated with white rosebuds. Also on the table were the bride and bridegroom’s wine glasses with punch and a picture of the couple. Serving the wedding cake was Jessica Cole.
Party foods were enjoyed with punch served by Lynn Gayton of Tignall.
The gift table featured a money tree.
For traveling, the bride wore a pink, black and white blouse and black slacks ensemble complemented by a pink rose corsage.
Following their wedding trip to Savannah and Tybee Island, Mr. and Mrs. Bailey are making their home on Walker Road in Rayle.
