Third graders visit museum

Dezmon Anderson, Laney Thornton, and Taylor Guin from Monica Hardy’s third grade class painted their own landscapes in the studio at the Morris Museum of Art during a field trip to the museum earlier this month. All W-WPS third graders were able to view and make art at the Augusta museum and the field trips were made possible through grants from the Creel-Harison Foundation, the Washington Arts Foundation, and the W-WPS PTG. Students were reminded to tell their parents that there are always free family activities on Sunday afternoons at the Morris Museum on the Riverwalk in Augusta.
