Winnie Mae McDaniel Taylor

Funeral services for Winnie Mae McDaniel Taylor, 87, of Washington were held Friday, March 19, 2010, at Hopkins Funereal Home in Washington with Rev. John Falk officiating. Interment was in the Jennings Baptist Church Cemetery in Crawfordville. She died Thursday, March 18, at Heritage Health Care of Washington.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Oglethorpe County and had lived in Wilkes County for about 30 years. She was a seamstress and homemaker and had worked at Royal Manufacturing Company for a number of years. She was the daughter of the late G.J. McDaniel and Ethel Drake McDaniel and was the widow of Arthur Taylor. She was a member of the Crawfordville Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Jean T. Godsey of Washington, and Joan Nicholson of Crawfordville; two sons, Robert H. Taylor of Columbia, S.C., and Charlie Taylor of Crawfordville; three sisters, Marjorie Andrews, Betty Jean Ogilvie, and Christine Zellnar, all of Barnesville; six grandchildren, Jeannine West, Steve Godsey, Tracy West, Lisa Taylor Pasquis, Bryan Godsey, and Winnie Godsey Martin; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren,

Pallbearers included Jeannine West, Tracy West, Trent Martin, Steve Godsey, Bryan Godsey, and Charlie Taylor.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jennings Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to the Crawfordville Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
