LaTasha Johnson has been named the Director of Human Resources for the McDuffie County Board of Education. She has been employed by the McDuffie school system for a total of 15 years, the last five as an assistant principal at Thomson Middle School.

Johnson’s new duties and responsibilities include traveling and recruiting, assisting with the monitoring of federal programs, filing inquires with the Professional Standards Commission, checking and maintaining the certification status of employees, providing training sessions for substitute teachers, updating school board policies, and overseeing the dissemination of employment contracts.

She is the daughter of Bertha Sims of Washington and Mr. and Mrs. Joe B. Johnson of Ellenwood.
