Ted Richard Knowles, 63, of Washington, died June 29, 2010, in the University Hospital, Augusta.

Mr. Knowles was a native of Gardena, California, and the son of the late Lt. Col. Carl Richard and Helen Stephenson Knowles. He was a computer analyst.

Survivors include a sister, Marilyn K. LePore, Washington; niece, Michele Roy of Evans; a greatniece, Chloe Roy; great-nephew, Owen Roy; and his wife, Karen, of Palm Springs.

Hopkins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
