Funeral services for Carlton Kendrick, 67, were held Saturday, July 20, 2010, at Marks Tabernacle Baptist Church, Washington, with Rev. G.L. Avery officiating. Interment was in Resthaven Cemetery, Washington. He died July 6.

Mr. Kendrick was born in Philadelphia, Penn., and was the son of the late Carlton and Nan Kendrick. He was a member of the Jackson Chapel AME Church, Washington.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Kendrick of Washington; three sons, Carlton Kendrick Jr., Washington, Michael Stephens, Lincolnton, Albert Stephens, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; a daughter, Margo Stephens, Washington; a sister, Betty Willis of Chicago, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
