Lee, Hollie and Patterson Hutto vacationed last week with her parents, Lavern and MaryLynn McCullough of Warrenton, and brother and family, Keith, Virginia and Mary Charles Johnson, at Tybee Island.

Betty Scoggins has returned from a week’s visit in McDonough with Kevin and Penny Netherton, Hailey and Zoey.

Chris and Priscilla Blanchard of Running Springs, Calif., have returned home after a two-week visit with Jack and Marcia Delany. Visiting the Delanys during the holiday weekend and enjoying the festivities on The Square were their grandchildren, Jack and Jessie Gay of Lawrenceville.

Cliff and Lynda Hopkins of Hilton Head, S.C., were overnight guests of Norma Hopkins last Friday. On Saturday they all went to Marietta for a visit with Bob, Kay and John Sauls where they were joined for a birthday dinner honoring Norma Hopkins by Dennis and Frances Hopkins of Acworth and Kirk, Joy, Don and Andy Goodrick of Canton. In the afternoon they all visited in the Hopkins home for dessert and later in the Goodricks’ new home.

Visiting a week with Benji and Sherry McAvoy were Mike and Sandy Groome of Austin, Tex. While in the area, they all enjoyed a trip to Helen and other points of interest in the area.

Buzzy and Jo Randall and Jane Newsome enjoyed several days during the holiday week at Tybee Island with Bill Cannon and Lyn Randall.

Edward and Susan Pope celebrated the holiday weekend with their children and grandchildren, John, Katherine, Anna and Caroline Gentry of Athens, as they visited J. C. and Johnnie Ann Gentry Carroll in Eutawville, S.C. On Friday the Gentrys, Popes and Mrs. Carroll enjoyed an overnight boat trip to Charleston, enjoying Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie, the lock system and rivers leading the Cooper and Ashley rivers. On Sunday, July 4, they attended the First Baptist Church in Holly Hill where LTC Gentry spoke in his home church during the Sunday School hour of his tour in Afghanistan.
