The Wilkes/Lincoln/Taliaferro Farm Service Agency (FSA) will hold an informational meeting for anyone interested in the 2011 County Committee Election.

The meeting will be held Friday, July 23, at 11 a.m. in the conference room of the education center at 906 East Robert Toombs Avenue in Washington.

During the meeting, there will be discussion on the role and responsibilities of the local FSA County Committee. The Local Administrative Area (LAA) No. 3 will be holding an election for the 2011 year. The seat is currently held by David H. Garrard. LAA No. 3 is located primarily in the eastern third of Wilkes County.
