Legendary coach visits Rotary Club
Coach Vince Dooley, former University of Georgia head football coach and athletic director (left), spoke to the Washington Rotary Club prior to his book-signing engagement downtown last Thursday. He told the club about some of his memories of players he had coached from Washington- Wilkes, including Billy Cloer and Tom Nash, and he told how his interest in gardening developed. Afterwards, he signed copies of his books for members. Dooley was introduced by Tourism Director Ashley Barnett and was welcomed to the meeting by Rotary vice president Allan Soto.
