Descendants of Crayton Jones and Laura Moss Jones held a family reunion July 10-11.

Those attending met together at the home and yard of Cecil and Flossie Rhodes for a fish fry Saturday night. Helping Cecil and Flossie with the fish fry were Cecil and Flossie’s nieces, Joan Oglesby, Elaine Presnee, and their daughters, Ann Raborn, Jean Hilliard, Teeny Hussiey, and Sarah Sue Hudson. Elaine baked the delicious key lime cake. The fish was furnished by Cecil and Flossie’s grandson, Chad Hilliard.

Most of the out-of-town relatives coming for the reunion stayed at Hickory Knob State Park and Hotel. Family members attending the fish fry on Saturday night were Ellyn Bunch, John and Joan Oglesby, Steven and Ann Rabor of Hephzibah, Reggie and Jean Hilliard, Chad and a friend, all of Dearing; Cecil and Teeny Hussiey of North Carolina; Sarah Sue Hudson of Grovetown; Cindy Vand of Rupert, W. All of the above returned Sunday, July 11, for the family reunion in the Family Life Center at Beulah Baptist Church. Those who came for the reunion other than those above were Pete and Joyce Stevens, Jackson, S.C.; Paul and Oleta Burdette, Greenwood, S.C.; Danner, Josh, Jade, and Sage Briggs, Anderson, S.C.; Zan and Margie Bunch, Thomas and T.J. They all enjoyed barbecue made by Frank Bentley, hash made by Cecil Rhodes, covered dishes brought by everyone else, and the fellowship.

There were door prizes given and I understand Walter Bunch won the biggy

the prize wanted by everyone else.)

These families had a wonderful weekend together and I’m sure some just getting to know each other.
