McLeroy competes at Futurity

Josh McLeroy of the Washington-Wilkes FFA Chapter uses adhesive to fit his steer before competing in the 2010 Georgia Junior Beef Futurity July 15-17. Josh exhibited his crossbred steer and heifer. Exhibitors learn many skills through livestock shows including general care, grooming and fitting the animal, and showmanship. Many shows, including the Futurity, also have a stockman’s quiz which tests students’ knowledge of the livestock industry.
