Victory Baptist Church on the Newtown Road in Wilkes County will have homecoming on Sunday, August 8. The service will mark the 45th anniversary of the church which began in 1965 with Lawrence Griffith as the founding pastor.

Pastor Griffith will be the speaker for the morning service on homecoming day. He was pastor at Victory for seven years.

The evening service will begin at 5:30 p.m. with Calvary Quartet singing and Evangelist Billy Ingram preaching.
