Emma Jean Servance
Funeral services for Emma Jean “Jeano” Servance, 69, of Raleigh, N.C., were held Friday, July 16, 2010, at the Redeeming Love Missionary Baptist Church, Raleigh, with Rev. T.K. Ashley presiding. She died July 9, at the Oaks of Mayview in Raleigh. Interment was in Raleigh Memorial Park.
She was the daughter of the late Norris and Nancy M. Anderson and was raised by her grandparents, Sam and Mattie L. Anderson. She was united in marriage to Abram Servance in 1962. She was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church, Washington, and later joined the Young Missionary Temple CME Church in North Carolina. She was a member of the Redeeming Love Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Nursery Board. She worked as a beautician for 15 years. For 25 years she was owner and operator of Jeano’s In- Home Daycare.
Survivors include two daughters and a son: Renee L. Servance, Alexandria, Virginia, Karen S Kamienski, Raleigh, N.C., and Craigland Servnce, Raleigh, N.C.; two grandchildren, Viktor Justin and Jessica Nichelle Kamiensky; two sisters, Melvene M. Binns and Teasha D. Laguins, both of Washington; three brothers, Addison W. Anderson, Charlotte, N.C., Harvey L. Anederson, Oak Grove, Ky., and Henry L. Anderson, Washington.
LEA Funeral Home of Raleigh, N.C., was in charge of arrangements.
