The Optimist Club of Washington is sponsoring a “Winner’s Choice” raffle in which the lucky winner will win his choice of a Remington 870 12-guage pump shotgun, or a youth model Remington 870 20-guage pump shotgun. Either choice also includes a 10-box case of shotgun shells and a dove stool.

Tickets are available for $2 each or three for $5 from any Optimist Club member. Tickets may also be purchased at the main office or downtown office of F&M Bank, the Washington branch location of Farmers State Bank, or at The Company Store on East Robert Toombs Avenue.

Proceeds of the raffle will fund various youth service projects sponsored annually by the local Optimist Club of Washington.

Other upcoming events include the annual Friend of Youth Auction and Barbecue to be held in November, and the annual Christmas tree sales beginning the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
