Tickets limited for NASA benefit fashion show to be held Sept. 17

In memory of the late Bill Bennett, energetic and esteemed leader of the North Alexander School Association (NASA), an entertaining fund-raiser will be held for NASA on Friday, September 17, at the Woman’s Club. Funds raised will go toward the restoration of the 1897 school building.

Tickets are limited and may be purchased at Tena’s Jewelry and Gifts in downtown Washington. Ticket sales will end on Monday, September 13, and no tickets will be available at the door.

The cost is $35 and offers value for the money in the form of lunch with wine and other beverages, tempting desserts, favor bags, lots of door prizes, many vintage fashions modeled, fashion commentary, and a surprise fashion.

“As with every fund-raising event, there are many people to thank,” says Karen Stubbs, spokesman for the event. “Paula Stevens of EClips, and Tena’s Jewelry and Gifts provided help with favor bags, and ticket sales, respectively. We are grateful to Susan Abramson, Diana Blackburn, Steve Blackmon, Gail Boyd, Jackie Gale, Barbara Riccuiti, and Karen Stubbs for the loan of vintage fashions.”
