Graveside services for Miss Carrie Norman, 89, of Washington, were held Saturday, August 28, 2010, at Pope’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Tignall, with Rev. Albert W. Huyck Jr. officiating. She died August 24 in Heritage Healthcare of Wilkes, Washington.

Miss Norman was a native of Tignall, one of seven children of the late E. Ben and Lucy Dickerson Norman. She worked in Atlanta for the Greyhound Bus Company for 42 years and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Beth Rosser, Anderson, S.C., Ben Norman, Tignall, Norma Wright, Sandersville, Jimmy Norman, Tignall, and Nanci Faulk, Pensacola, Fla.; her nurse companion of 20 years, Frances Gilmore; 15 great-nieces and nephews; 19 great-great nieces and nephews; and one great-great-great-niece.

Great-nephews served as pallbearers.

Hopkins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
