Whitney and Molly Dawson, daughters of Myles and Brooke Dawson, competed in the Green Bean Festival in Blairsville Friday, July 30.

Seven-year-old Whitney was second runner-up in her age category and also won Prettiest Smile.

Molly, age two, was first runnerup in her category and also won the Little Miss Sunshine honor.

It was the first competition for both girls.

Attending the festivities with the girls and their mother were their grandmother, Cissy Rogers; Betsy Harrison, both of Washington-Wilkes and Dianne Corn of Atlanta.
