Several Woman’s Club officers and members (l-r) Paula Suggs, Janet Burgess, Shelby Caddell, Laura Houpt and Carol Jackson, await their guests at the membership tea. The Woman’s Club hosted a membership tea Thursday afternoon, August 26, at the clubhouse.

Hostesses for the occasion were board members, Carol Jackson, Audra Armour, Vivian Walker, Alice Lindsey, Janet Burgess, Paula Butts, Paula Suggs, Susan Branan and Bettye Armour.

Members, prospective members and guests were welcomed.

The clubhouse was festively decorated for the tea. Yellow and blue cloths covered tables that held budvases of zinnias. The tea table was centered with a larger colorful bouquet.

A delicious buffet of refreshments that included fruit, cakes, cheese straws and punch was served.

Everyone was reminded and invited to the luncheon meeting on Monday, September 13, at 12 noon at the clubhouse. Kevin Madden will present the program.
