Photo by MERCER HARRIS The Lady Tigers split a pair of games last week. On Wednesday, August 25, the Tigers lost to Thomson 9-2. The Bulldogs broke the game open in the fifth inning with a five-run blast that made the score 8-2. Thomson then scored a single run in the sixth making the final score 9-2.

On Thursday, August 26, the Tigers rebounded to beat visiting Oglethorpe 11-3. Cayla Gilland (pictured above) picked up the win on the mound. The game was called in the bottom of the sixth due to the eight-run mercy rule.

The Ladies will travel to Oglethorpe next Wednesday, September 8, for a game beginning at 5 p.m. and then to Glascock for the region opener on September 14.
