State Patrol reports seven crashes, six injuries in August

State troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated seven traffic crashes during the month of August in Wilkes County. Sergeant First Class Andrews said the traffic crashes resulted in six injuries. There were no fatalities.

SFC Andrews said troopers from Post 17 also issued 181 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes four arrests for driving under the influence; 114 citations for speeding; 19 seat belt violations; and six child restraint violations.

Troopers also issued 236 warnings.
