Funeral services for Oralean Davis, 81, were held Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at the Greater Level Hill Baptist Church, Crawfordville, with Rev. Patrick Thomas officiating. Interment was in the Walker Memorial Cemetery, Augusta. She died August 26 in Fairburn.

She was the daughter of the late Rev. Eddie Thomas and Helen Bishop Thomas of Crawfordville. As a young adult she moved to Newark, N.J., where she lived for more than 40 years. She was a caregiver and provider.

Survivors include 11 children, Keith Davis, Michael Davis, Eddie Trotty, and Demond Davis, all of New Jersey, Hazel Thomas of Michigan, Linnette Davis of Ohio, Linda Trotty of Pennsylvania, Helen Davis, Tyrone Davis and Tammy Davis, all of Georgia, and Stephanie Davis of Maryland; and sisters, Duke, Alfreda, Mae, Beatrice, and Sadie, all of Georgia; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
