Marie Maxwell entertained at luncheon, shower

Marie Maxwell, bride-elect of Brad Wells, was entertained at a luncheon and miscellaneous shower on Sunday, August 29, at The Sandwich Shop in Washington.

Hostesses for the occasion were the bride-elect’s sisters, Kim Moore of Crawfordville and Teresa Meijerink of Watkinsville.

Miss Maxwell was presented a corsage of a white Gerber daisy to complement her white sleeveless summer top worn with a fuchsia paisley print skirt.

White cloths covered the table decorated with bouquets of fallcolored Gerber daisies.

Guests enjoyed a seated luncheon with assorted chicken, bacon and ranch wraps, pasta salad, macaroni salad, chips and beverages.

The bride-elect was honored with a miniature wedding cake topped with wedding bells and a setting of double rings.

Twenty-four guests attended and included many of the bride-elect’s high school classmates all of whom enjoyed remembering their school years.

Special guests included the brideelect’s mother, Rosie Maxwell of Washington and cousins, Tracy Lamar of Tignall and Tammy Norman of Lincolnton; and the prospective bridegroom’s step-sister, Tracey Crandel of Tignall.
