Students create Veterans Day cards

Students work on “Thank You” and “Get Well” cards to recognize the service of U.S. military men and women on Veterans Day. The students in the Wilkes County 21st Century Community Learning Center created some 160 cards to send to the Charlie Norwood Veterans Medical Center in Augusta. Students who attend all four county schools and the Reese J. Booker Center worked to create their cards while learning more about Veterans Day and the reason why Americans recognize and honor their military veterans each year.
