Women who made Hickory Hill will share stories December 3-4

Meet the women who made Hickory Hill the wonderful place it is today – Mrs. Miriam Wilson, wife of the home’s builder; Mrs. Georgia Watson, wife of Senator Thomas Watson; her daughter and granddaughter – Agnes Watson and Georgia Watson; and Ella Rochelle, the no-nonsense cook and housekeeper for the Watson family.

These spirits of Christmas past relate the origins of beloved Christmas traditions and share stories from Hickory Hill. Experience the magic of the holidays at Hickory Hill on an evening tour of Senator Thomas E. Watson’s beloved home.

Friday, December 3, 6:30 p.m.

This tour begins with a wine and cheese reception. The tour lasts about 45 minutes. $5 per person, reservations required.

Saturday, December 4,

5:30-9 p.m.

This tour is part of the McDuffie Tour of Homes and includes four other homes in addition to Hickory Hill. Tickets are $20 and are available before the tour and the night of the tour.
