Black History program slated at New Ford on February 12
DR. SAM DAVIS On Sunday, February 12, at 3 p.m., New Ford Baptist Church will conduct its annual Black History Program. The guest preacher will be Dr. Sam Davis, pastor of Beulah Grove Baptist Church in Augusta, who has over 30 years of experience in pastoring, clinical counseling, and Christian education. He was also the speaker last Sunday at Springfield Baptist Church during memorial services held for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Under Davis’ leadership, over 5,000 members have been added to Beulah Grove. He has been instrumental in establishing more than 85 active ministries in the church to foster personal growth and development, and to promote a sense of service to people. Moreover, Beulah Grove has established an aggressive evangelism campaign that includes a multi-media initiative of radio (97.9 FM WIIZ) and television (WJBF Channel 6) ministries, a ministry presence on the world wide web (www.beulahgrove.org), and a notfor profit newspaper (The Grove) that seeks to share good news in print media.
“Of all the characteristics and traits demonstrated by Dr. Davis, none is more outstanding than his ability to explain the truths in scripture and bring forth the reality of God’s Word and how it should be applied to one’s daily life,” said Rev. Ed Anderson of New Ford Baptist Church.
