Meghan Elizabeth Arnold Adam Nicholas Fortson Mack and Kim Winfrey of Washington and Bryan and Tami Arnold of Crawford announce the engagement of their daughter, Meghan Elizabeth Arnold, to Adam Nicholas Fortson, son of Lonnie and Margaret Fortson of Danburg.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Beverly Paradise of Lexington and the late Samuel Paradise and the late William and Inez Moore of Washington. She is also the granddaughter of Bobby and Sandra Arnold of Winterville, Holly Watkins of Athens and the late Patricia Watkins, and the great-granddaughter of Gladys Slay of Crawford.

Miss Arnold is a 2007 graduate of Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School and plans to graduate in May from Georgia Health Sciences University of Augusta with a Bachelor of Nursing degree.

Mr. Fortson is the grandson of Boyce Fortson Jr. of Danburg and the late Susie Inez Fortson and the late Raymon Bryant and Irene Whitley, both of Lincolnton.

He is a 2002 graduate of Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School. Mr. Fortson is the owner of Bulldawgs Paint and Body in Washington.

The couple plans to marry on Saturday, May 19, at the home of the Mack and Kim Winfrey in Washington.
