The movie "Courageous" will be shown at Tignall Baptist Church Saturday, February 25. Anyone who wants to come at 6 p.m. and bring finger foods is welcome. The movie will begin at 6:30 p.m.

New Sutton Temple Baptist Church will have a pre-pastoral anniversary celebration February 20-24, 7:30 p.m., with a different speaker every night. The celebration will end Sunday, February 26, at 3 p.m.

Washington-Wilkes Primary School will hold Kindergarten registration for five year old children on Monday-Friday, March 5-9, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at the school. Any Wilkes County child who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2012, is eligible to attend. All required documents must be on file with the school before school begins in August. Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Rayle, will have its black history program Sunday, February 26, 2:30 p.m. The program will be a celebration and remembering, training young people, learning about black culture, the accomplishment of local people, and fellowship. The program will include messengers, a drama team, African dancing, solos, speeches, and a finale.

Rev. Dwight Foster of Hilliard Station Baptist Church will be the guest speaker at Trinity Baptist Church Sunday, March 4, at 11:30 a.m.

Pole Branch Baptist Church, Tignall, will host a women's conference Saturday, March 3, 10 a.m. to noon. The speakers will be Cassandra J. Dobbs of the Overcomers Christian Center in Villa Rica, and evangelist Annie Laura Westfield of the Eternal Life Harvest Center, Knoxville, Tenn.

The Bethlehem Baptist Church will celebrate the pastor's 12th anniversary Sunday, March 18, 11:30 a.m. Rev. Kenneth Hannah and the Shiloh Baptist Church of Warrenton will be in charge of the service.

Pauline Chapel F.B.H Church will have its annual missionary program on Sunday, March 4, 3 p.m. with Pastor Peggy Zellars, of Solomon Pool of Lincolnton as the speaker.

Brinkley's Chapel Baptist Church will have youth revival services March 5-9, 7:30 p.m., with Rev. Michael Curry of Sparta as the guest evangelist.

Mark's Tabernacle Baptist Church will celebrate the second anniversary of Pastor LaRay Tillman Jr. and Altravise Tillman on March 2 at 7:30 p.m., with Rev. Charles Belton, pastor of Mt. Carmel and Cherry Grove Baptist Churches in Washington, as guest speaker. On March 4 at 3 p.m., Pastor Michael Strickland of Victory Tabernacle Baptist Church in Stockbridge will be the guest speaker.

Brinkley's Chapel Baptist Church will celebrate the youth anniversary at 2 p.m. on March 11. Rev. R.C. Lockhart and the Mt. Olive Baptist Church and Bethlehem Baptist Church will be in charge of the service.

Christ City of Prayer will have its annual black history program Sunday, February 26, 11 a.m. Bethel United Methodist Church will sponsor a Ladies Retreat, "Loving Well," with the Beth Moore DVD study on Saturday, March 17, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the church. The Women on the Move for Christ of the St. Luke Baptist Church, 3130 Metasville Road, Lincolnton, will have its 12th annual prayer brunch March 10, 10:30 a.m. Pastor Peggy Zellars and the Solomon Pool Deliverance Church will be special guests. The T.J. and Friends Foundation will have its annual dinner and auction Saturday, March 3, 6:30 p.m., at the Elk's Lodge in Elberton. Cost is $20 per ticket and the deadline for ticket sales is February 27. Call 706-988-1268 or 706-498-2837 for tickets. Auction items include golf packages, trips to Pigeon Forge, guided hunting, custom made juke box, sports memorabilia, and more. All proceeds go to cancer patients in Wilkes, Elbert, Hart, Franklin, Oglethorpe, Lincoln, and Madison counties. More than $240,000 has been given away by the foundation since 2008.
