RAYLE NEWS

Rayle has been fairly quiet this month, moreso than during the holiday season, at any rate. Would it not be lovely if we all tried to congregate with our extended families in, say, March, as much as we do during November and December. I believe I may push for a new tradition with my folks.

Echols Personal Care Home has been buzzing with activity recently. Residents enjoyed Valentine crafting with CSRA Home Healthcare on Wednesday, February 8. Betty Lee had an outing in Washington to have her hair done and eat with her daughter Anne on Thursday, February 16. Bill Paradise also enjoyed an outing on Thursday, February 16, with his sister, Elizabeth, and niece, Mary, of the Stephens community in Oglethorpe County. Bill’s daughter Beth visited with him on Sunday, February 19. Lounelle Austin spent the weekend with her daughter Ma- donna. Sarah Gresham received a visit from her son, Johnny Gresham, on Friday, February 17. I would also like to print a retraction from two weeks ago: Jimmy Compton attended Sardis Baptist Church on Sunday, February 5, while Columbus Curry attended Pleasant Grove. My apologies for the mix-up. Jimmy Compton attended Mallorysville Baptist on Sunday, February 19.

Maebrynn, Adriana, and I spent a “girls’ day” together on Saturday, February 18. We enjoyed lunch at Zaxby’s with “Aunt” Madeline Reeves and Amber Woods of Lincolnton. After lunch, we spent a few hours at the park in Washington, where the girls ran blissfully amuck.

Happy Birthday to Rosie Maxwell, who will celebrate on Wednesday, February 22. Eudora Huyck will celebrate her birthday on Monday, February 27. May you both have a blessed year to come.
