“Resthaven Revisited,” an outdoor cemetery drama, presented by the Washington Little Theater, will be reprised with performances beginning every 20 minutes on Saturday, October 6, (6-9 p.m.) and Sunday, October 7, (3 -6 p.m.) at Resthaven Cemetery.

New Salem Baptist Church in the Tyrone community will honor Rev. Reynolds for 30 years of service to the church and community on Sunday, September 16, at 3 p.m. Rev. Lemuel Billingsley will deliver the message. A fellowship meal will be served at 2 p.m.

Twin Oak Baptist Church will host a three-night revival, Monday Wednesday, September 24- 26, at 7 p.m. Rev. Paul Hull will deliver the messages.

The Iris Garden Club will meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, at the home of Jane Bundy, 225 E. Robert Toombs Ave.

The Washington-Wilkes Toastmasters Club will meet from 6 - 7:15 p.m. on Monday, September 10, and Monday, September 17, at the Mary Willis Library. A “speech-a-thon” will be conducted at 6:00 p.m., Thursday September 27. If you are at least 18 years of age and desire to improve your public speaking and leadership skills, you are invited to attend.

The Washington Chapter of OLLI @ UGA will begin its fall session with a “lunch and learn” meeting on Monday, September 17, at noon, in the Parish House at the Church of the Mediator. Transforming Life Ministries will host the 19th Anniversary and Pastoral Celebration of Amethyst D. Wynn on September 23 at 3 p.m. at the Third Shiloh Center. Special guests will be Bishop Jonathan Greer II, and the Divine Love Fellowship Church from Atlanta, along with the Springfield Praise Dancers. Dinner will be served immediately after the worship service in the dining area, and a special community ministry will convene in the parking lot. The public is invited.

Wills Memorial Hospital will host a ribbon cutting ceremony and reception with tours to celebrate the completion of its new facilities on Saturday, September 8, at 3 p.m.

Family Connection and Communities In Schools (CIS) of Wilkes County (formerly Wilkes County Community Partnership) will hold its Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 27, at 4 p.m. at the Georgia Baptist Association Missions Center, 207 North Jefferson Street in Washington.

The New Sutton Temple Baptist Church invites the public to attend its fifth annual “Women of Wisdom Women’s Conference” hosted by Pastor K.L. Owens. The W.O.W Women’s Conference will take place September 26-28 at 7 p.m. nightly.
