Buzzy and Jo Randall honored at 60th wedding anniversary dinner

Jo and Buzzy Randall Jo and Buzzy Randall Buzzy and Jo Randall were honored on their 60th wedding anniversary at a family dinner at the Randall home on East Robert Toombs Avenue on Sunday, September 2.

Comer H. (Buzzy) Randall Jr. and Lola Jo Rider were married on September 5, l952, in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church, Washington, with Rev. John C. Busby, pastor of the church, officiating.

Places were set in the dining room of the home for 15 immediate family members. Tables were covered with crocheted tablecloths made by the bride’s mother, the late Lola Mae Taylor Rider. Arrangements of flowers, including vintage roses, altheas, and crepe myrtle from the Randall yard were used on the tables.

The couple’s wedding album of pictures was placed on a table and other wedding photographs were posted on large hearts. The bride’s wedding dress and the dress worn by the bridegroom’s mother, the late Evalyn Wynne Randall, were displayed in the living room.

Members of the family, all of whom were in attendance with the honored couple, were Randy and Kim Randall, Kelley, Patrick, and Ava Wynne Castaneda, and Taylor Randall, all of Clinton, S.C.; Lyn Randall and Bill Cannon, Tybee Island; Joe, Jake, and Griffin Randall, Athens; Jeana and Blaine Worley, Tignall; and Jane Newsome, Washington.
