Christmas trees now available from Optimist Club

The Optimist Club of Washington began its annual Christmas tree sale on Wednesday, November 21, at the JE Equipment Rental lot located at the corner of Robert Toombs Avenue and the North By-Pass (across the road from McDonald’s).

Club President Kyle Brown made the annual pilgrimage to Cashiers, N.C. on Tuesday, November 20, to pick up the freshly cut Frazier Fir Christmas trees.

The number of Christmas trees will be limited, as well as the sale hours, so everyone is encouraged to come out early and get their tree.

Trees will be available for extended hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21; Friday, November 23; Saturday, November 24; and from 2-5 pm on Sunday, November 25.

Remaining trees will be available until sold out the following Thursday and Friday from 4-6 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday from 2-5 p.m.

All proceeds from Christmas tree sales will help fund the Optimist Club’s many youth-oriented service projects, including four annual scholarships.
