Lynn Jones Mosley Bessie M. Belflower Skipper

Funeral services for Lynn “Dun Bug” Jones Mosley were held Saturday, November 17, in the chapel of McLendon Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce King officiating. He died Saturday, November 10, at Heritage Healthcare of Wilkes.

Mr. Mosley was born in Millen, Georgia, to the late Queenie Mae Jones and Lynn Williams. He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church in Washington. He enjoyed his life and loved helping anyone in need.

Survivors include sons Tracy L. Milton and Divonte D. Milton both of Washington; step-children Tonya Milton, Lashonda Milton, Shalonda Milton, Jarvis Milton, and Dominique Milton all of Washington; sisters Jackie McCord and her husband Jimmie of Lithonia, Julia Sims and her husband Charles Richardson, Mary E. White both of Washington, and Lynda Smith of Griffin, Georgia; brothers Clarence Jones of Washington and Jessie Pete White Jr. of Columbia, South Carolina; 15 grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; god-daughter Mesha Davis; best friends Fred Crew, Deacon Ed and Ruthie Norman; and a special friend Patricia Milton.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Bessie M. Belflower Skipper, age 101, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012, in Oaklawn Cemetery, 720 South Camellia Blvd., in Fort Valley, Georgia, with Rev. Richard Jelley officiating.

Born in Chester to the late Elijah and Minnie Horne Mullis, Mrs. Skipper was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughters, Geneva Mercer (Charles) of Macon and Sharon Williamson (Wayne) of Washington; daughter-in-law, Betsy Belflower of Macon; and grandchildren, Jack Mason (Elaine) of Jesup, Matt Williamson (Alison) of Smyrna, Meredith Williamson of Atlanta, Scott Kidner of Los Angeles, Ca., and Susan Fix (Dave) of Glendale, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Otis Clarence Belflower, and a son, Horace J. Belflower.
