Odessa Welch Driggers Hunt

Graveside services for Odessa Welch Driggers Hunt, 78, of Washington, were held Friday, February 1, at 2 p.m. at Independence United Methodist Church cemetery in Tignall with Rev. Terry Casper officiating. She died Tuesday, January 29, at University Hospital.

A native of Turbeville, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Molly McElveen Welch. Mrs. Hunt was a retired machine operator.

Survivors include sons James “J.C.” Driggers of Green Cove Springs, Florida, David Driggers, Mike Driggers, and Bruce Driggers, all of Washington; daughters Jeanette Price and Connie Goldman of Washington; sisters Ann Davis and Ethyl Kinlaw; brothers Boot Welch, Tommy McElveen, and Ernest McElveen, all of South Carolina; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Dann Standard, Ray Price, Adam Price, Charlie Price, Jeff Driggers, Jonathan Johnson, and Candler Price served as pallbearers.

Hopkins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
