Presbyterian Circle 3 meets May 6 in Fellowship Hall

Circle 3 of Washington Presbyterian Church Women met Monday, May 6, in the Fellowship Hall of the church.

Mary Harris, hostess, served Lemon-Yogurt Crumb Cake with coffee and tea during a time of fellowship.

Jackie Gale opened the meeting and presented the devotional.

Those with special needs in the church family and community were remembered and cards were signed.

Upcoming events included “Movie in the Manse” on Sunday, May 26, at 3 p.m. with the movie, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel; the End-of-Month “Church Ladies” Lunch on Wednesday, May 29, at Ocean Buffet; the annual joint worship service and luncheon with the Episcopal Church of the Mediator at the Washington Presbyterian Church on June 2; the worship service led by the Presbyterian Women on June 9; and Vacation Bible School June 24-29.

Among the announcements were the Wednesday video Bible lessons that would continue during the month of May at 10 a.m. at the Manse and the reminder for members to wear red for Pentecost Sunday on May 19.

Nita Latimer led the discussion of “Lesson 9: Brothers and Sisters in Harmony” for the last lesson in this year’s study “Dispatches of God’s Household-The General Epistles.”

In September the ladies will begin the new study, “An Abiding Hope: The Presence of God in Exodus and Deuteronomy.”

Present for the meeting were Jackie Gale, Mary Harris, Nita Latimer, Lisa Luken, and Cheryl Young.
