Georgia Rosalind Reese Talbert

Graveside services for Georgia Rosalind Reese Talbert, 88, of Washington, were held Friday, September 6, at 4 p.m. in Overbrook Cemetery in McCormick, South Carolina, with Rev. Kevin Madden officiating. She died Tuesday, September 3, at Wills Memorial Hospital.

A native of Modoc, S.C., and formerly of McCormick, she was the daughter of the late James Morgan and Rosalind Sims Cartledge Reese. She had lived in Wilkes County six years. She was a retired merchant, homemaker, and a very talented artist. She was the widow of John Pressley Talbert.

Survivors include two daughters, Rosemary Talbert Hopkins of Washington, and Nancy Talbert Moore and her husband Marion of Hodges, South Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, John P. Talbert Jr. and his wife Linda of Waycross, Georgia; one sister, Margie Bussey, of Greenwood, South Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Betty Reese of Washington and Polly Reese of McCormick; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
