Who needs Santa? We’ve got Hairy Dawg!

Addison Ware, along with her little brother Charlie, is thrilled to meet Georgia Bulldog mascot Hairy Dawg himself Saturday afternoon in downtown Washington. The popular mascot’s visit was a fundraiser for the Washington-Wilkes Animal Shelter to help keep the average of 150 to 175 dogs and 50 to 60 cats fed and taken care of, animal shelter director Gloria Wheatley said. “The shelter is constantly in need of funds. Right now, we need food for dogs and cats, plus cleaning supplies, paper towels, mops, and brooms. Please donate whatever you can, whenever you can.” Addison and Charlie are the children of Blake and Megan Ware.
