Sammi Petro and Ben Wills honored at wedding shower on February 2

Sammi Petro of Dacula and Ben Wills of Washington were honored by First United Methodist Church members at a miscellaneous wedding shower in the fellowship hall on Sunday afternoon, February 2.

Mr. Wills serves at Youth Director at Washington First United Methodist Church.

Following a delicious roast beef dinner, sponsored by the Cornelia Johnson Circle, everyone gathered around the gift tables to enjoy seeing the gifts opened and displayed.

White tablecloths with red diagonal toppers covered the tables which were decorated with lovely flower arrangements in variations of pinks and reds and a draped banner of hearts with Bible verses on love made by the children attending children’s church. Colorful balloons scattered around the room added to the festive Valentine theme.

Miss Petro was presented with a corsage of ribbons and red roses. After the shower, the couple was given the banner of hearts made by the children as a special remembrance of the occasion.

Special guests attending were mother of the bride-elect, Chris Petro of Dacula, sister of the brideelect, Mallarie Petro, also of Dacula, and parents of the prospective bridegroom, Beth and Steve Wills of Gray.

Miss Petro and Mr. Wills plan to marry Saturday, May 31, at 5 p.m. at Washington First United Methodist Church.
