Assaults, DUIs, license troubles lead June’s roundup of law enforcement

Assaults and driving under the influence accounted for the bulk of law enforcement action during the month of June. The listed arrests are taken from the limited information in arrest reports provided by local law enforcement officials, and no arrests are left out. An arrest does not imply guilt; criminal charges are merely accusations and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty and convicted.

Thomas Jackson III, 30, of Washington, was arrested June 21 by Wilkes Deputy Johnny Crookham and charged with felony aggravated assault and with felony possession of a firearm or knife while trying to commit crimes. He was released June 23 on $15,200 bond.

James Drinkard, 63, of Wilkes County, was arrested June 12 by Wilkes Deputy Brad Carani and charged with felony aggravated assault and with cruelty to children in the third degree. He was released June 14 on $15,200 bond.

Terrence Holloway, 29, of Lincolnton, was arrested June 8 by Wilkes Deputy Adam Posey and charged with battery, cruelty to children, and simple battery. He was held on a state probation hold.

Thomas Edward Eason, 38, of Collins, Ga., was arrested June 4 by Wilkes Deputy Andy Edwards and charged as a habitual violator and with giving false information or a false name. He was released June 7 on $7,200 bond.

Jacob Allen Soper, 34, of Tignall, was arrested June 3 by Wilkes Investigator Thomas Bailey and charged with felony possession of arms by convicted felons and first offender probation. No bond was noted.

Terry Cardarius Davis, 23, of Washington, was arrested June 16 by Wilkes Deputy Webb Bufford and charged with obstruction of an officer, giving false information or a false name, and with failure to appear. He was released on $7,200 bond.

Rodreckerous R. Evans, 60, of Washington, was arrested June 21 by Wilkes Deputy Johnny Crookham and charged with criminal trespass and with simple battery. He was released June 22 on $7,200 bond.

Denis Mitchell Bachman, 25, of Athens, was arrested June 7 by a GSP trooper, charged with DUI and failure to drive within a single lane, and released on $2,790 bond.

Robert Joseph Dibiase, 32, of Aiken, S.C., was arrested June 15 by GSP Trooper Scott Langham and charged with driving while his license is withdrawn and with speeding 26-30 mph over. He was released on $1,760 bond.

Markus Shakeal Martin, 24, of Winterville, was arrested June 20 by a Georgia State Patrol trooper, charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and released on $1,684 bond.

Daisy Mae Johnson, 68, of Washington, was arrested June 14 by GSP Trooper Will Grier, charged with DUI, and released on $1,628 bond.

Jarvis James Bradford, 25, of Athens, was arrested June 20 by a GSP trooper and charged with speeding 26-30 mph over and with possession of marijuana. He was released on $1,027 cash bond.

James Kittle, 43, of Tignall, was arrested June 13 by GSP Trooper Sgt. Brent Marxsen and charged with driving while unlicensed and with a seat belt violation. He was held on a state probation violation.

Juan Gonzalez-Maldonado, 40, of Wilkes County, was arrested June 21 by GSP Trooper Scott Langham and charged with driving without a license and with violation of the adult seat belt law. He was released on $765 bond.

Jarvis Lamont Milton, 28, of Washington, was arrested June 1 by Wilkes Deputy Robbie Turner on warrants for failure to appear and for contempt of court, child support.

Rodrick Vontay Hampton, 42, of Wilkes County, was arrested May 29 by Wilkes Deputy Troy Land and charged with passing a bad check. He was released on payment of a $695 fine.

Archie Acree, 38, of Washington, was arrested June 4 by Wilkes Deputy Adam Posey and charged with disorderly conduct. He was released on $566 bond.

Lucreda Hill Coots, 44, of Washington, was arrested June 15 by Wilkes deputies, charged with disorderly conduct and released on $566 bond.

Devin Davante Cox, 18, of Washington, was arrested June 11 by ­Wilkes Deputy Adam Posey and charged with sale of alcohol to a minor. He was released by transfer.

Lewis Butler, 62, of Washington, was arrested June 11 by Wilkes Deputy Philliph Perkins and charged with trespass. He was released June 15 on $263 bond.

Marvin Browner, 24, of Athens, and Rebecca L. Hancock, 35, of Dearing, were arrested on state probation violations. Brandon Kenneth Rogers, 28, of Wilkes County, and Lucious Tavaris Milton, 31, of Washington, were arrested on CSRA probation violations.
