Louise Nunn Grant

Private graveside services for Louise Nunn Grant, 86, of Crawfordville, Georgia, were held on Wednesday, July 29, at 10 a.m. at Margaret’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Crawfordville with Lamar Nix officiating. She died Saturday, July 25, at Georgia Regents University in Augusta.

Born in Washington, Georgia, on October 4, 1928, she was a daughter of the late William Frank Nunn and Ella Lee Rhodes Nunn. She was a graduate of Alexander Stephens Institute in Crawfordville. She met William F. “Heavy” Grant and they married on May 12, 1950. They made their home in Crawfordville and were the owners of Heavy’s Barbecue Restaurant. She was a member of the Margaret’s Grove Baptist Church. Louise enjoyed cooking and sewing.

Survivors include her son Perry Wayne Grant and his wife Lydia of Crawfordville; granddaughter Lindsey Grant Duvall and her husband Tim of Crawfordville; two great-grandchildren, Austin Duvall and Autumn Duvall; other relatives, and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Heavy Grant; her sister, Kathryn Nunn; and son, Michael William Grant.
