Kela McKay promoted to Records Educator at Dermatology Specialists

Kela Hall McKay has been promoted to Electronic Medical Records Educator at Dermatology Specialists of Florida in Panama City, where she has been employed since May 2012. The company has a total of 23 offices located in Florida, Alabama and Mississippi.

McKay worked primarily as a medical assistant and has recently been instrumental in helping the company’s new Gadsden team make the move from paper charts to a digital system. She is now serving as the corporate health systems trainer for all clinical staff. She provides onsite support for all locations, and will help ensure documentation standards and practices to optimize the current workflow.

McKay also serves as the Electronic Health Records point of contact for providers, office administrators and clinical staff for all clinical documentation.

She is a 1994 graduate of Washington Comprehensive High School, and is the granddaughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. G. L. Avery, and daughter of Marie and John Hall of Washington. McKay and her family presently reside in Panama City, Florida.
