Drama camp will close with three productions

For the next two weeks, almost 30 kids from grades 3-12 will learn the ins and outs of producing a live theater performance during Youth Summer Drama Camp.

The Camp is sponsored each year by the Washington Little Theater and has been in existence for more than 20 years.

During the two-week camp, the kids will gain an understanding of all aspects of theater production, from backstage set design and costumes to lighting and sound. They’ll also learn basic interactive performance techniques from qualified theater professionals in preparation for week two’s rehearsal and production of two plays starring all drama camp participants.

The two plays will be performed June 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m. and June 18 at 2 p.m. Each play will last about 30 minutes.

Tickets are $7 cash or check only. To make reservations call 706-678- 9582. Performances will be held at the Bolton Lunceford Playhouse located at 313 N. Alexander Avenue in Washington.
