Inspections can save buyers big bucks

Chuck Tolbert (center) of All Star Home Inspections was the guest speaker at the Washington Optimist Club’s regular June meeting at Talk of the Town. He told members about the types of deficiencies that home inspectors look for when performing an inspection for a prospective buyer. These include drainage issues, poorly done repairs, and electrical problems such as incorrect wiring in a panel box. He pointed out that having a home inspected before buying can save new owners hundreds or even thousands of dollars in repairs after the purchase. Karen Paul (right) was the program host and also had Sam Callaway (left) as her guest for the meeting.
