Tiger football season tickets will be available for pickup on The Square today, Thursday, July 27, from 6-8 p.m. upon receipt of full payment. Today is also the last day for payment/pick up for seat holders from last year. The Wilkes County School System will conduct an on-site review and revision of the FY18 Parent Involvement Plan on Monday, July 31, from 2-5 p.m. at the ­Wilkes County Board of Education office. All parents and interested community members are invited to attend and review and give input into the Comprehensive Needs Assessment.

New Life Baptist Church will host the southern gospel group The Perrys, who will be performing live on August 13 beginning at 6 p.m. New Life will hold the event at the church located at 808 East Robert Toombs Avenue in Washington. The BreasTest and More Program at the Wilkes County Health Department has help to assist in paying for mammograms for the uninsured when funding is available. Clients must be 40-64 years of age, have no health insurance, and meet certain financial requirements.
