District Governor visits Rotary Club

During his first official visit to the Washington Rotary Club, District Governor David Cooper announced his “Top Gun” theme for the year which he uses to highlight his emphasis that Rotarians are to excel, challenge, and stretch out. Club President Terry Boswell, a retired U.S. Air Force colonel, dressed in appropriate gear to present Cooper with a pair of sunglasses, saying, “now get yourself a G-suit and you’ll be all set. You’ve got the talk and the walk but not the dress.” Cooper emphasized the importance of membership engagement, good programs, and the ROCK (Rotary’s Own College of Knowledge) program. He also noted that this year, the Washington Club will celebrate its 55th anniversary.
