Show team competes at Madison County FFA alumni show

The Wilkes County 4-H and FFA Market Goat Show Team competed in the Sizzlin’ Summer Showdown in Athens recently and returned with the following placings.

Madi Welch, honorable mention in showmanship and third in weight class; Austin Fanning, honorable mention in showmanship and ninth in weight class; Kaeleigh Fanning, honorable mention in showmanship and eighth in weight class; Jake Tucker, sixth in showmanship and third, fourth, second, and third in weight classes with all four of his goats; Sissy Hammond, third in showmanship and 11th and sixth in weight class with her two goats; Emily Weaver, honorable mention in showmanship and seventh in weight class; Eli Holton eighth in showmanship and ninth, fourth, and fourth in his weight classes with his three goats; Erin McLeroy, ninth in showmanship and 10th, sixth, seventh, and honorable mention in her weight classes; Sydney Robinson, ninth in showmanship and ninth in weight class; John Michael Miller, honorable mention in showmanship and 13th in weight class; Lola Hammond, fourth in showmanship and seventh and ninth in weight class; Lydia Norman, honorable mention in showmanship and seventh in weight class; Khloe Reeves, honorable mention in showmanship and 12th in weight class; Brock Hammond, honorable mention in showmanship and 12th in weight class; Aubrey Welch, 10th in showmanship and sixth in weight class; Ava Wright, seventh in showmanship and 10th and seventh in weight class; Gage Wright, eighth in showmanship and eighth and eighth in weight classes; and Camden Hammond, fifth in showmanship and sixth in weight class.

PeeWee showmen were Alaina Wright, Barrett Tucker, and Addie Armour.
