Fall Cruise-In is set for September 9 on The Square, 5-8 p.m.



Visitors admire hot rods, classics, antiques and even tractors and motorcycles at the twice-a-year cruise-in and even more will be featured at the Memory Lane Cruisers Fall Cruise-In Saturday, September 9, 5-8 p.m. on The Square in downtown Washington. The event will be an evening of old cars, food, music, and family fun. Tommy Landrum’s Cruisin’ to the Oldies will provide the music, and admission is free to the public. Antiques, hot rods, trucks, and motorcycles can enter for a $10 registration, and a dash plaque will be given to each entry. “This year, there will be a $100 prize for the car club with most cars registered, Memory Lane President Dickie Garrard said. For years now, money raised by Memory Lane Cruisers’ events has been donated by club members to support several Wilkes County organizations and services.
