Where in the world is The News-Reporter...

... seeing the sights, and old friends

Geila, Amanda, and Garvin Aycock, along with Charlie and Betsy Wagner and The News-Reporter were on the train from Venice to Rome. “We had spent three nights in Venice and were getting off the train in Orvieto to go to Geila’s villa. We were meeting Barbara and Jim Roberts and Sharon and Stan Ayers from Elberton there. The Chiusi station is the one before Orvieto. Who should get on but Bill DeGolian, his wife BJ, and their girls, Elizabeth and Mary Helen. They were going on to Rome. The seats on the train are reserved so what are the chances that someone from Washington would be in the same car. It really is a small world when people from Washington travel,” Betsy said. The Wagners and Aycocks had previously visited the Colliseum in Rome and St. Mark’s Square in Venice (lower photo). This News-Reporter is 4,903 (top photo) and 4,839 (bottom) miles from home.
