Misty Odessa Johnson weds Daniel Joe Biles on August 5


Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Joe Biles Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Joe Biles Misty Odessa Johnson and Daniel Joe Biles of Lincolnton were united in marriage Saturday, August 5, at six o’clock in the afternoon at Lincolnton Historical Park in Lincolnton. Rev. Stephen Raynor of Lincolnton officiated the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Connie and Randall Goldman of Washington and the late Roger Johnson.

The bridegroom is the son of Jan and Danny Biles of Lincolnton.

An Ursella Williams-designed wedding sign was used in decorating with other accents.

Robert Biles of Lincolnton, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Usher-groomsmen were Brandon Biles, brother of the bridegroom, and Matthew Dandrun of Lincolnton, and Allen Morengne of Harlem.

Emily King of Atlanta was the honor attendant. She wore a blue dress with lace detailing and cowboy boots.

Bridesmaids were Amber Biles and Holly Biles, sisters-in-law of the bridegroom; Samantha Helton, cousin of the bride, and Elizabeth Hinson, all of Lincolnton. Holly Biles and Elizabeth Hinson wore yellow lace dresses, Samantha Helton, a blue lace dress, and Amber Biles, a blue and white lace dress. All also wore cowboy boots.

The flower girl, Serenity Williams of Lincolnton, wore a long light blue lace dress and a floral headband.

Olin Ward of Lincolnton, son of the bride, served as ring bearer.

Given in marriage by her uncle, Michael (Mikey D) Driggers of Washington, the bride was lovely in her full-length gown with a flowing chapel train and hip-length veil.

Her bouquet in white with accents of blue was handmade by Amber Biles who also made boutonnieres for the men in the wedding party and the attendants’ bouquets.

For sentiment the bride wore a beautiful pearl bracelet that had belonged to her grandmother, the late Barbara Jean Jacobs.

For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Goldman chose a blue dress.

The bridegroom’s mother, Mrs. Biles, wore a beautiful floral dress paired with diamond jewelry and cowboy boots.

Reception

The newlyweds entertained guests at a reception at the Lewis Family Pavilion at Lincolnton Historical Park.

The wedding cake was a delicious strawberry-vanilla confection made by the bride’s sister, Cassie Graves of Washington.

Jason Crook of Lincolnton served as DJ for the festivities.

For a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the bride wore a short white lace dress.

Mr. and Mrs. Biles are making their home in Lincolnton.

Rehearsal Dinner

Misty Johnson and Daniel Biles were hosts at a rehearsal dinner at Lincolnton Historical Park in Lincolnton.

Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet of chicken, biscuits, and other foods, gifts to the couple from the Lincolnton Hardees where the bride is employed.
