God’s Marketplace sends relief

Under the direction of the Board of Directors of God’s Marketplace a donation of $500 is being sent to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) who was there on the first day delivering relief, and they will be one of the last to leave years from now. One hundred percent of the offering will help the people in the designated areas. No money will be used for administration or overhead – it goes directly to those in need. “Thank you to all the folks in Wilkes County for shopping in the God’s Marketplace Thrift Store and Home Center, and for the many donations that allow us to help persons in need,” said David Toburen, director (right) as he presented the check to Shelley Warrenfells for transfer to UMCOR.
